Esther is a recluse who only cares about living forever and staying beautiful by sacrificing children to the goddess she made a deal with in exchange for her immortality. She sneers at emotions and does not fully understand them, except she knows that to get what she wants, she needs to manipulate them to her advantage. Her inferior Fe feeds off of creating fear in others by torturing them, and she intentionally wants them to suffer for what they did to her, without caring about any of them in a meaningful way. Emotions are toxic in her mind, for weaklings who don’t know what truly matters in life. Esther is very physical and raw; she cares only about her appearance, and in looking young and sexy forever. She likes to do things with her hands, creating spells, skulking through the woods, and beating people with her stick even where magic would do. Her long-term plan is to sustain her lifestyle, no matter what it takes.

Esther shamelessly takes whatever she wants from the town around her, and only wishes she could do it in broad daylight, as she “deserves” (she thinks mere mortals ought to worship her). She steals children and sacrifices them to her snake, feeding off their fear and using it to keep her young and radiant. When the Boys cross her, rather than move on, she devotes her entire life to revenge. She cruelly tears apart her pet raven to turn him into a boy, and tells him to stop whining about how much it hurts, then scorns him when he becomes emotionally involved with Charles. She threatens to kill the Walrus unless he helps her come up with a trap for the Boys, and beats the Cat King to death with her iron stick. Esther is self-serving and hedonistic, believing that her own passion, power, and beauty are all that matters in life, and making herself out to be entitled to everything she wants with her 7 wing.
