Jason Street MBTI & Enneagram | Friday Night Lights

ENFP 3w2 Characters

Jason is an optimist and a dreamer; at first, he is realistic about being in a wheelchair, but then puts all of his hopes into a sketchy operation in Mexico and takes Tim down there. Then he gets the idea to flip houses to make money for his kid, to prove to his girlfriend that he has a future; he also coaches the football team and trains Matt to be a better quarterback. When his parents are concerned with his future, Jason tells them he still has a bright one, and he will be able to earn his own living. He doesn’t want to sue his coach for his accident, because as he says, it was his fault; and when they go to court, he asks merely for the school to cover his hospital costs so his parents won’t lose his house, no more. Jason is very considerate of others and hates to be in serious conflict with them, but his default is to sink into his own emotions. If depressed, he withdraws or even throws himself into the ocean. When upset with Tim and Lyla, he lets them both have it. He rakes them over the coals for cheating on him, not visiting him, etc. When he hears his one night stand resulted in a pregnancy, he gets very excited and tries to convince his girlfriend to keep the child because he didn’t think he could ever be a father; she has to remind him that this is about her body and her decisions, and it’s not all about him. Jason is sometime able to face the facts—he tells Lyla to stop assuming he will walk again, because the doctors told him he won’t, and to stop being unrealistic. He cares about the bottom line when renovating the house for flipping it, and tells his friends not to go over budget or they won’t make back the money they sunk into the place. He feels connected to his home town and football, but also wants to move away from it, and feels like he needs to ‘evolve,’ rather than get stuck. Jason doesn’t want to coach football forever, and chases after new opportunities instead.

Enneagram: 3w2

Jason is a very driven, optimistic young man, who finds it hard to accept that he will be in a wheelchair the rest of his life; but he doesn’t allow it to depress him for too long, before he starts chasing new opportunities and thinking optimistically about the kind of life he can build for himself (and later, for his girlfriend and son). Jason is self-confident and doesn’t rest long before he starts trying to carve out a new place for himself outside of football. He doesn’t like to be the center of attention (he says) but is hard-working and driven. Whatever he undertakes, from selling cars to flipping houses, he puts his whole heart and ambition into it, and wants to be the best at it. He is also a warm, loving person with his 2 wing, always looking out for other people, cheering them on, trying to connect to them, and putting effort into doing ‘right’ by them. He even forgives Lyla for cheating on him, though it’s painful for him.
