Tim doesn’t showcase his dominant Ti much, except in his natural aptitude for fixing cars, but it comes out more prominently in the second season when he accompanies Jason down to Mexico for his surgery. Tim has a lot of rational questions about this whole thing—if it works, how come nobody knows about it? Why isn’t it legal in America? Is this thing legit? He concludes that “at best, Jason, you’re out ten thousand dollars, and at worst, you go home in a body bag.” He sees it for a grift and convinces Lila to come down and talk Jason out of this “stupid, reckless thing” he’s about to do. Most of the time, we see his sensory lifestyle in play. He’s a natural at football, because he can rapidly adjust, learn as he tries new techniques, and isn’t afraid to take a hit. But he is also impulsive and self-indulgent, getting sexually involved with anyone who is available to him (older women, younger women, his best friend’s girlfriend). He drinks though he’s underage, and spends a lot of his time hung over. Jason doesn’t have to work hard to convince him to tag along to Mexico, although Tim is annoyed once they are there that there’s not hookers, booze, and partying involved. He teaches the neighbor kid how to punch people, so he’s never bullied again, and tells the bully if he ever bothers the kid again, Tim will pull his insides out of him. A lot of his decisions are made fully in the moment, and tend to backfire, particularly when emotions get involved. He shows flits of Ni, such as being totally convinced that Jason will die if he has surgery in Mexico, and a lot of lower Fe. Tim is emotionally “flat,” and doesn’t know how to handle his feelings. He avoids going to see Jason in the hospital for a long time and then has no way to defend himself after sleeping with Lila (it feels good, so he does it, and never thinks how it might hurt Jason). He admits that in the church service, he felt something collectively, as part of the group, that he enjoyed (low Fe can long to ‘fit in’ or find a community), but then confuses that for assuming he and Lila should be romantically involved. Tim is very sweet to little kids, showing his gentler side.

Tim does not like conflict. When he finally gets around to visiting Jason in the hospital, and Jason yells at him for not coming sooner and ignoring Jason’s pain, Tim just stands there, hanging his head, and takes it. When the neighbor he’s involved with tells him to stay away from her kid, that them being involved is a bad idea, he amiably agrees with her, but tries not to crush the little boy’s spirit in the process (“Your mom told you I’m real busy right now, right?”). He asks Lila to come down to Mexico with him, to help him convince Jason not to have this crazy, risky surgery, because Tim doesn’t want to have to “knock him out” and drag him home. But he also shows a lot of w8 behaviors. He can be aggressive. He teaches the kid to fight, so that he is never beaten up by a bully, and admits to the boy’s mom that he was the bully in grade school. His response to things is often to throw the first punch. Tim has few ambitions in life, and wastes a lot of his time being drunk, hung over, or in trouble, until he gets his life straightened out.
