Hanna MBTI & Enneagram | Hanna

ISTP 5w6 Characters

Hanna is trained and raised by her “father” to be an assassin, and has no real moral objections to this. She also learns incredible amounts of information very easily and is curious about everything from biology to how things operate in the real world. She lacks something of a moral compass and sees things in terms of survival and black and white, and has adopted Erik’s beliefs as her own. She easily problem-solves, notices everything in her environment, and thinks tactically when taking out the CIA agents and escaping from the compound, even though she has never been inside anything like it before. Hanna is also very physical; she goes out and hunts on her own, she is tensed and always waiting for attack (she is never quite asleep); she fights her way out of the holding cell after physically snapping a woman’s neck (faking crying to make her sympathetic and get an excuse to hold onto her tightly), stealing a man’s gun and shooting various people, going through the air vents, then hijacks a ride on the bottom of a desert truck. She steals along with a family on vacation, and pays attention to whether they are being followed, then fights of those bad guys, easily adapting to and enjoying her sensory environment. (Though started at first by loud noises in civilization, she soon goes along with things, hides in creative places, dresses up to go on a date with some boys, and body slams one of them re: her training when he tries to kiss her.) Her goal is to meet her father where he said, and she keeps this in mind, but she has poor intuition in general – she never questioned her father being related to her, she has no real questions about who Marissa is and doesn’t really care, and she has a lower emotional breakdown when finding out everything about her life has been a lie. Hanna also warms up to the girl she is traveling with and becomes fond of her and her family, enough that she warns them not to follow her when she runs away to lead the bad guys elsewhere so she can kill them. When caught off guard, she just repeats the information her father told her to in a rush, showing how socially stinted she is. Hanna sees shooting Marissa in the head as a sympathetic act, much as she did the deer at the start of the film.

Enneagram: 5w6

When her father tells her that she can set off the beacon and call Marissa to her whenever she wants, Hanna does not push it for several days, until she feels ready. Out in the world, she is easily overwhelmed by too much noise until she learns to adapt. She is also detached and able to kill people without feeling bad about it. This is just simply something that must be done for her own survival and escape. Hanna solves problems herself, and cares very much about being competent and self-reliant; she has no problem setting out in the world on her own, figuring out how to get away from bad guys, and in eventually confronting and dealing with Marissa. But she does warm up to others somewhat easily and goes along with them, when it doesn’t involve compromising her mission (her friendship with the girl whose family she steals along with). And, her dad is rather the center of her world, and she desperately wants to get to him for a while.
