Marissa Wiegler MBTI & Enneagram | Hanna

INTJ 5w6 Characters

Marissa was part of a secret branch of an organization in charge of a lab experiment in which they attempted to create “super soldier” children, but when it didn’t go according to the plan, she had all of the mothers and children terminated. Marissa just competently and logically deals with problems—such as hiring people to try and find and kill Erik and Hanna for her, because she has no desire to be out in the field. Often times, we see INTJ villains running things from behind the scenes, because they are unable to adapt quickly to their sensory environment. This shows in the flashback to her trying to kill everyone in the car with Hanna in it; she throws herself into the road, shoots through the windshield, but is visibly nervous about doing it, in case she misses. Elsewhere, she almost gets shot up in her hotel room, and barely escapes out the window with her life. Hanna is able to attack her and injure her with an arrow in the abandoned carnival grounds. Marissa hires a guy to maim and torture people for information, but doesn’t appear to participate in it herself (finding it distasteful). She is also callous, seeing people as disposable and having no empathy for them; it’s just “part of my job” is her excuse. Her motivations for killing Erik and wanting her face to be the last one he ever sees are clearly personally-motivated (possibly they were once lovers, and she felt betrayed by his rescue of Hanna and her mother). She found a good position in the CIA and worked her way up, but has no real people skills and no empathy for anyone other than herself (for whom she worries plenty). Under stress, she scours her teeth so hard, her gums bleed.

Enneagram: 5w6

Marissa is clearly a head type, who is also detached/cold about what “needs to be done” and does not do well in the outside world. The closer Hanna gets to her, the more anxious and paranoid Marissa becomes. She avoids meeting Hanna in person and is right to do so, then becomes visibly shocked/horrified to see Hanna take out the imposter and shoot her way into an escape. Marissa then recruits other people to do her dirty work for her and for her own protection. Though she pretends that she just wants to talk to Hanna to try and get the girl to drop her guard, she intended to kill her all along and it doesn’t bother her that other people are collateral damage in the process. She even looks under the bed, in case Hanna is there, and appears to trust no one except those with whom she had a prior working relationship who have proven themselves to her.
