Kelly Curtis MBTI & Enneagram | Jurassic Park

ESFP 7w6 Characters

Dominant Extroverted Sensing – living in the moment, hands-on opportunism, and learning by doing: Kelly is way more hands-on than her dad; he points out that she has a lot of hobbies, among them gymnastics, and even though she was cut from the team, she still takes the initiative to climb up high and kick a raptor out a window before it can hurt her dad. She sees them about to leave town, assumes it will be a fun way to bond with Ian, and tags along, making a mess of the trailer in the process. She immediately knows that having a screaming baby Rex in the trailer is going to put them all in danger and demands to be taken somewhere else. She’s quick on her feet and that lets her stay safe, even though she winds up in several dangerous situations.

Auxiliary Introverted Feeling – a self-knowledge and a desire to live in accordance with one’s personal values: She’s emotional, but doesn’t really talk about her feelings; she does, however, lash out when she gets upset – by telling her dad that she doesn’t believe he’ll come back safe, because he never keeps any of his promises. She wants more of a stable life, but doesn’t push him for it, so much as say that he never seems to want to spend time with her. Kelly often cries from being overwhelmed, but doesn’t talk about her trauma or what they saw, or attempt to make anyone else understand her.

Tertiary Extroverted Thinking – a desire to assess the facts of a situation and get things done efficiently: Kelly is less interested in figuring out things than she is in taking action against them; she wants her dad to get up in the cage with her, so that he will be safe, rather than going out into the jungle, since there’s factually dinosaurs out there that eat people. When she  is threatened by them, she tries to hurt them and succeeds in killing a raptor by kicking it through a wall.

Inferior Introverted Intuition – a desire to experience deeper meaning and a singular path, but sometimes being wrong in their intuitive conclusions: She doesn’t show much Ni or intuition in general. She’s just a kid in a dinosaur movie.

Enneagram: 7w6 sp/so

Enneagram 7 – a playful and quick-witted optimist who stays in constant motion and is always looking to the future: Kelly is a lot like her father in that she has a smart answer for everything, including trying to convince him that he practically ‘told her’ to be disobedient and tag along by hiding out on the trailer. She takes it upon herself to do so, even though he attempted to leave her with someone else while he went after Sarah; she found that idea boring and wanted to go along with him instead.

6 wing brings in a desire for a solid support system and occasional self-doubts: At first, she’s intrigued by the island, but the more she finds out about it, the more anxious and self-protective she becomes. She proactively senses the T-Rexes are going to come for their child and demands to be taken somewhere else, “somewhere… safe.” She doesn’t want to take any risks, for her dad to leave her, and is on high alert until they make it off the island, as she swings into 6ish codependency and security-seeking.
