Zach MBTI & Enneagram | Jurassic World

ISTP 7w6 Characters

Zach is incredibly “chill” in an intense situation; he quickly thinks through things and problem-solves without having to pause. He saves his brother’s life, by unbuckling their seatbelts before they become dino-chow; he rigs an old Jeep engine to get it running, so they can escape through the jungle; he figures out how to protect them in the back of the van once the raptors get the doors open. He’s also semi-detached and lost inside his own head most of the time… but he still notices what is going on around him, and the hot girls in line ahead of them. Zach is a flirt and an opportunist. He quickly seizes the chance to go “off-road” in an attempt to cheer his brother up, then uses his environment to keep them safe. He doesn’t seem too freaked out about leaping off cliffs, running through the jungle, rigging broken cars, or being in high-pressure situations, either. His reluctance to respond to his girlfriend’s hopes for the future with a positive attitude shows that he doesn’t really think they’ll be together for that much longer. Zach figures out how to get the jeep working without much to go on, simply by discerning what is wrong with it. Though blunt and dismissive, Zach really feels bad when Gray gets upset, and tries awkwardly to comfort him … by distracting him, because he’s not all that great with shows of emotion.

Enneagram: 7w6

Zach hates negativity and tries to keep his brother’s mood up and him away from his fears by focusing on the “good” – finding the humor in their situation, talking about happier times, praising him as being really smart and strong, etc. Because he doesn’t like his brother’s ideas about their parents getting a divorce, he pushes that away from him, and then changes his tactics by encouraging Gray to think positively – two of everything, man! He instantly re-frames the divorce in positive terms, about how many more presents they will be getting, and how it won’t matter to him, since “I’ll be leaving for college soon anyway.” Literally, escaping something he doesn’t want to deal with by running away. He shows a 6 wing in how carefully he looks after his brother in the park, even before they get into dangerous situations, and how cautious he is only after they run into trouble. (Fun comes first!! Going off road is fun! Let’s go into the jungle and roll around, see what we can find that isn’t just for the tourists!)
