ISFP 6w5 Characters
ISFPs are similar to ESFPs in that whatever they feel, they act on it, but they are also more reserved, self-contained, and less outwardly emotional due to keeping their feelings buried deep inside them. And it’s this quiet stoicism but emotional intensity that first draws Constance to Oliver, as he goes about his work, tenderly caring for the woods and animals. They quickly get swept up into an affair that is exciting for both of them, but also develops into more than just sex. He falls for her and takes risks for her, cheating with her around the estate and getting lost in the moment, only to emerge from it aware of what will happen as a consequence if they are discovered. He leaps to conclusions about what’s going on faster than her, and is also more rigid in how he chooses to deal with things, but struggles not to let his heart and his sexual desires overrule his sensibilities (he realizes he could get fired, ostracized, or worse, by “doing” his boss’ wife, but he feels so drawn to her that he cannot help himself). He shows harsh inferior Te at times when he shuts her down or accuses her of having false intentions and walks away from her for a time.
Enneagram: 6w5
Olivier is a lot more careful and concerned with the consequences of their affair than Constance is. He falls quickly in love with her through their sexual encounters, but worries about the consequences, about being fired, and about what her husband might do if he learns the truth. When she tells him she’s pregnant, he becomes suspicious that she has been “using” him to get a child, and is upset at the idea of her husband raising their child of his own. He breaks off their relationship out of concern about their futures, although she later is able to reconcile with him. He’s quite self-contained, lives alone, and works on his own, preferring not to confide in other people or make friends easily, although he’s generally well-liked by the other servants.
