ESFP 2w3 Characters
Jane does not want to be stuck at home in boring England when she could go back to the Africa that she loves. And once there, she doesn’t hesitate to get involved, traipse around the country, or even try to escape through dangerous situations by stealing a knife, leaping into a river, escaping a hippo, running through the trees, and paying homage to the gorillas she finds there. She often runs off in a new direction without any expectations of what she might find there, and just assumes she can come out alive or that her husband will rescue her (he does). She is very at ease in rapidly changing environments and situations, but also has a Fi sharp tongue. Jane doesn’t like to be told what to do, and does what she wants to do, regardless of what others think about it (insisting on going with her husband home). But she also holds a lot of her feelings and pains inside of herself, such as her miscarriage, and doesn’t want to talk about it; she just lets it impact her decisions. She confronts others about their treatment of people and wants to do right by them. Jane is harsh-tongued, threatening her captors that her husband is going to come and destroy them, insulting the man who holds her hostage, and trying to shame him into releasing her rather than go along with his schemes. She only surrenders if he will not hurt the gorillas. Her Ni is almost nonexistent; it surprises her when her husband just ‘knows’ things, but she also trusts his intuition and goes along with it.
Enneagram: 2w3
Jane always has a very firm opinion of what she wants, and an agenda of what she intends to accomplish, which is very like a 2. She believes firmly that she is there to do good in people’s lives and to help her husband, and refuses to stay home in England when she could go traipse through Africa and bring about something good. She is self-confident, but also firm in her conviction that to be a good person, you need to be selfless, generous, and concerned with other people’s welfare. Jane will moralize at people who step out of line, and try to shame them for being selfish, destructive, etc. She doesn’t want the bad guys to kill anyone on her behalf, and gets super upset when they start picking off the gorillas even though they are aggressive towards the humans. But she also has an assertive wing in that she always goes after what she wants, she tries to work her way out of difficult situations by being assertive and combative, and she adapts to whatever her circumstances are, to the extent that it gets her head (but not so far that she loses sight of what she values the most, which is to support her husband).
