Victoria Moretti MBTI & Enneagram | Longmire

ESTP 8w7 Characters

Vic lives very much in the moment, and is hands-on in her police work, always tossing around suspects, chasing them down, and looking for ways to trip them up in the moment. She doesn’t realize she has stumbled into the middle of a cult during an investigation until a member pulls a gun on her and accuses her of nefarious intent. Nor does she let an opportunity to act pass, including kissing her boss in the hospital in case he dies before she gets the chance. While faithful to her husband, after he leaves her, Vic engages in a series of brief overnight stands that winds up getting her pregnant (she isn’t sure who the father is) and then eventually loses the baby while on the job, because of the risks she takes in tracking down bad guys. Whenever sad, Vic distracts herself with momentary pleasures (getting drunk and hooking up). She is logical, aware of what she is doing, and good at following clues and figuring out things, but also can charm people when she puts her mind to it. She convinces her deputy to ask questions of his nurse girlfriend about a suspect, which backfires, because it’s the rational thing to do. Vic sometimes isn’t aware of how she truly feels until she is at risk of losing someone or something, and then she needs to act on it, or talk about it. She struggles to deal with her feelings at times, in favor of keeping busy and pretending like things are fine. Very little thought goes into her future life, or what might happen as a result of her actions in the present, and she distrusts intuitive leaps without anything substantial behind them, though occasionally she has a sixth sense about something “more” going on than is obvious.

Enneagram: 8w7

A crucial moment in Vic’s marriage happens when she is playfully wrestling with her husband in bed, and says he has to win a fight to “be on top”; he manages to pin her down, and she teases, “Is this how it’s gonna be, with me pretending to be weak so you can win?” A minute later, Vic sees how much this upsets him and feels bad about it, but the damage is done, because she’s an 8 and all about power dynamics, wanting the upper hand, one-upping, and asserting herself. She punches an FBI agent in the face, because she’s mad and he’s in her way, and then has to sit in the hall while they continue the investigation. Vic is always act first, think later, and that’s when she usually realizes the consequences of her actions. She is good at throwing her weight around, telling off suspects, screaming in their face, and not taking no for an answer, but also bends the rules when she thinks it would get better justice. She advocates for a man being moved to death row, as he wishes, just because she looks forward to a world “without you in it, so I never have to think about you again.” Vic moves between 8ish self-assertion and ignoring her problems with the assumption they will go away, including not attending to her personal business after her divorce and being evicted from her home. She tries to be optimistic on the job, but also gets annoyed with Walt constantly refusing her help.
