Dominant Introverted Sensing—a strong emphasis on memories holding personal significance, meticulous, and detailed: Libby is practical and aware of the patterns of others around her; she notices things that escape Hurley’s attention, such as him being lost and leading them back to “our own beach.” This shows she keeps track of what is familiar and uses it as a reference point, both in her environment and her own emotional experiences. She doesn’t reveal if she remembers him from the mental institution, but also uses a lot of her previous knowledge from medical school and in psychology to help those around her. Libby didn’t let on the fact that she was in an institution where she learned these things.
Auxiliary Extroverted Feeling—ease of emotional expression and shaping their actions around how their decisions affect others: Libby is compassionate and doesn’t hesitate to empathize with others, even when she has nothing in common with them. She is patient, gentle, and kind, inviting them to open up and confide in her with no need to self-insert. She knows how to word what she has to say in a way that others will accept and tries to understand them from a psychological perspective. Rather than condemn Hurley for his eating disorder, she urges him to free himself from it, and reassures him she will support and like him even if he never changes his behavior. Her compassionate, emotional nature means she does not like cruel behavior and objects to the mistreatment of prisoners.
Tertiary Introverted Thinking—desires to understand how systems and people work so they can better communicate or figure out how a hack that works: Libby wants to understand those around her, and asks questions to get to the heart of the problem. She mostly uses her logic to understand others, so she can then better communicate with them. Some of her methods are unorthodox problem-solving, such as when she encourages Hurley to get rid of all the extra food rather than binge-eat or doll it out (this is also somewhat irrational on her part, because it’s wasteful of their limited resources).

She goes along with others rather than to cause a fuss and feels upset when others quarrel around her. Libby minimizes problems, but also uses her own experiences to get something across to others; when finding Hurley struggling with mental illness, she asks him if his delusions override her own experiences in “burying” fellow passengers from the back end of the plane. She knows how to calm others down and they trust in her and confide in her.
1 wing brings in a desire for moral rightness and perfection: Her 1 wing is principled and wants others to be honest. She tries to be sincere in her interactions, to encourage others to do the right things, and has firm views of right and wrong, though she does not impose them needlessly.
