Dominant Extroverted Thinking – ease of organizing and remembering facts, drawing logical conclusions, and being efficient: Linus is a businessman from the word go; when asked what he was like as a kid, the chauffer answers “shorter” – he was always business-minded, highly competent, aggressive, and determined to make a name for himself, by expanding his father’s holdings. The instant his brother proposes to a woman, he sees dollar signs and plans to make a merger with her father’s company, putting things into motion that will make them all a billion dollars. As soon as Sabrina shows up and threatens this, Linus cancels all of his appointments for several days to thwart her romantic intentions. He thinks logically about what would make her fall in love and arranges it through his secretary.
Auxiliary Introverted Sensing – working with what exists and their personal history to make an immediate impact: He’s highly detail-oriented; he knows it’s Sabrina where David is still guessing, because he recognizes the contours of her face, how she sounds, and carries herself, from having been around her all of her life (paying attention to her, even when he was doing other things and being an adult). Linus admits that he changed very little from how his father ran the company and even has the same barber, though he’s now in his 80s and maybe his hand isn’t as steady anymore.
Tertiary Extroverted Intuition – an interest in many different possibilities and in seeing connections between unrelated ideas: He uses lower Ne to explore stock options, mergers, and technological advancements that will make his company more profitable; he also sees that David is going to ruin everything if he chases after Sabrina and falls into his old “love em and leave em” patterns (Si).
Inferior Introverted Feeling – emotional under stress, and unsure of how to better connect to others: Linus doesn’t realize until it’s almost too late that he has also fallen in love, and doesn’t give his feelings any weight in any of his decisions, apart from asking his brother to run off with Sabrina, to make her happy (inferior Fi being out of touch with what truly matters to him). He has to be told, “Linus, for once, don’t think… feel!”

Enneagram 3 – a driven, ambitious person who wants to succeed to the best of their ability: Linus is something of a hard-ass when we first get to know him; he’s so determined that his brother won’t ruin a business deal, he causes him to sit down on a pair of champagne flutes, landing him off his feet so he can’t possibly seduce Sabrina. He immediately sees opportunities wherever he looks, and is out there aggressively self-promoting; he has become such a workaholic that his secretary sarcastically must explain to him that the most difficult theater tickets to get (to impress Sabrina with) will be for a Broadway musical, in which “people will periodically sing and dance about.” Linus sees Sabrina as a problem for his impending business merger, and ruthlessly decides to get in her way and stop her from falling in love with David; he intends to romance her, make her fall in love with him instead, send her to Paris, and then abandon her there with a payoff, hoping then he will never see her again… but his heart gets involved, he finds himself falling in love, and he winds up going off to live in Paris with her and finally learning that he can take a break from his company and allow his brother to have a career for once.
2 wing brings in a helpfulness and a desire to be seen as a good person: He is somewhat prideful in that he thinks his intentions are good and/or that he is doing nice things; he also uses 2ish generosity to impress Sabrina with, and follows through on it (telling her he’s donating an old building as a halfway house, and then calling his secretary and telling her to do it).
