Phoebe Atwell MBTI & Enneagram | The Babysitters Club

ISTP 5w6 Characters

Phoebe doesn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone else thinks of her; she comes into school, makes up a story about being pregnant “so the boys won’t bother me,” and then succeeds in alienating other people. She doesn’t mind being considered a freak and is able to get along with Cole once she knows what he wants, but isn’t emotionally attached to him until they go through a few harrowing experiences together. She makes rational decisions for herself, and sometimes outright abandons him (leaving him on the cliff, and getting warm by a creep’s fire, and keeping her cool when both of them are almost bitten by a rattlesnake). When Cole asks her about whether fate exists, she says there’s no afterlife, and no soul mates, and no Santa, and all you get is what’s here and now. She is a lot more practical and pragmatic than him, choosing to spend her time hiking to her family’s cabin, and then hiding out in the cellar. She doesn’t want to open the door to anyone, either. Phoebe helps him kill several of the demons following them, one of them by separating her head from her body. She is pretty good at getting away, but has no real sense of her own feelings sometimes. Phoebe and he just sort of fall for each other, without much fuss or bother.

Enneagram: 5w6

Phoebe just wants to be left alone and not get involved in anyone else’s business. She tells the boys at school she’s “late” with her period, knowing that will keep them from pestering her (premature rejection of pretty much everyone). When Cole bums a ride with her, she wants to get rid of him at the first opportunity. Even in her cabin, she has a whole room in the basement where she hid out, with a lock on it, so no one could bother her or invade her space. She leaves Cole behind and hikes up the mountain to get rid of him, rather than thinking his problems are also hers, until they become her problems. Then she becomes a little friendlier, but is still cautious, suspicious, and does not want to trust others easily. She feels a lot of guilt for what happened to her parents, which isn’t entirely hers to undertake.
