ESTP 8w7 Characters
Jack is a psychopath and a hedonist who lives primarily in the moment, and doesn’t think about the consequences to any of his actions. He sets up a way to kill Connor’s father on the highway, then when it goes wrong, continues to blast his car with firepower, and then shoots an innocent bystander who comes up and asks them what has happened and if everyone is all right, rather than pretending it’s all fine and sending her on her way (he knows she could identify him and would contact the state troopers). He then sets a massive fire to distract the local authorities and cover up their ruthless manhunt. He is often very physical and aggressive with people, threatening to kill a pregnant woman unless she tells them what she knows (he does have a small amount of conscience, in that he would rather not hurt her, but when she comes after him, he decides to kill her). His decisions are all logical, but amoral from a detached perspective; people are just objects to him that get in his way and need to be terminated, if they threaten his safety or his financial success. Jack shows some low Fe tendencies, in that he can be emotionally impacted by other people and that triggers his concern for them (the pregnant woman), but he doesn’t allow it to get in the way of what in his mind needs done. He is also aware of his own limitations and that he is going to die, or at least that his judgment is severely impaired, but doesn’t let that stop him from wanting to tie up all the loose ends.

Jack aggressively deals with problems the instant they happen, by being decisive and in control. He doesn’t stop to think, he just acts with the determination to destroy anyone who gets in his way. As an unhealthy 8, he sees weakness in others as something to exploit for his own benefit (it’s not his fault they are prey for strong predators like him), but he is very destructive in the process, costing many lives, thousands of acres of forest damage, and not really caring about any of it. He is so tough and strong that he takes a severe burn to the face and doesn’t let it stop him; then goes down in a hail of bullets and still tries to kill the woman shooting at him. He doesn’t see himself as doing anything wrong. Jack doesn’t show a lot of 7 wing behaviors, but he also doesn’t show 9 wing behaviors – he’s clearly double assertive, self-confident, and believes in taking what he wants.
