ESTJ 3w2 Characters
Denise is very efficient at overseeing their time travel project, and does not mind taking a few pokes at people along the way—she snidely says that Connor built a time machine and then did not bother to tell anyone in charge about it until terrorists stole it to use it for nefarious purposes. So now she’s in charge of the department built to infiltrate history, take out sleeper agents, and prevent them from wrecking the timeline. When she is tortured for information and Rittenhouse tries to corrupt her, Denise just ignores them and refuses to participate or even points out their flaws. She is practical and efficient, rather than a visionary in her own right; she says they are here to stop Rittenhouse, and so that’s the mission and they should keep doing it, and not get sidetracked trying to figure out a way to save Rufus (then, she is reminded that without Rufus, there will be no defeat of Rittenhouse). She is quite domestic, and has a family life even if she’s not home as often as she would like to be. It worries her that they might vanish from her timeline, so she tells Lucy if that ever happens, show me their picture and tell me all about them. She faithfully went off Lucy’s instructions for her life, as she waited for technology to catch up to the USB drive given to her (“you have no idea how excited I got the first time I found a computer that could open that thing!”). Denise has a sort of general anticipation for the future and a need to keep things on a consistent track. She is no-nonsense and loving, but struggles to pull away from her responsibilities and job enough to be home with her kids as much as she would like, falling into the ESTJ tendency to think providing for them is connection enough. She deeply cares about her team, but does not want to risk killing them all just to get one of them back—then, who would finish the missions?

Denise is hard-working and ambitious, and managed to claw her way up the hierarchy in a society not built for women—and do it as a lesbian! But there was a time in her younger years when she seriously considered marrying a man, because her family expected it, and she felt she had no option but to adjust to fit their expectations. She also thought that she would have to give up police work at the time, because that’s what the best kind of wife does, serve her family. But Lucy convinced her to give her future a shot, and as a result, she’s now a powerful woman at the top of her ladder who can make tough decisions and get things done on time. She is driven and purposeful, but also has a 2 wing that enjoys encouraging her team and being a den mother to them (of sorts) while they are holed up in a lousy bunker.
