MBTI Type: ESTP
Weevil is opportunistic in that he often has his financial fingers in a lot of pies; he takes bets in favor of Neptune high, knowing Wallace is going to be ‘out of the game’ and therefore the team will lose, stacking it in his favor. Weevil plays poker with Logan in the middle of a ‘boring’ detention (and gets more detention). He wound up having a thing with Lily under everyone’s nose. Weevil breaks into her room and gets arrested with her secret pen in his pocket. Weevil does whatever he thinks will make him a quick buck, but his intuition is very poor. He doesn’t suspect his cousin of stealing credit cards, even after they want to arrest his grandmother (so he confesses to get her off the hook). He doesn’t know who killed Lily and has no suspects. His frequent brushes with the law could get him put away for good, but he doesn’t care, because he never thinks about tomorrow. He also skillfully uses his tert-Fe to intimidate people for Veronica and to get respect for himself and his boys, without being too inhumane (of his cousin, he says “teach him a lesson, but pull the boys off before they go too far”). Weevil knows how to make people shut up just by showing up and being intimidating, not laughing at a joke, or asking Veronica how much ‘damage’ she wants him to do. But he also shows some emotional intelligence, such as when he asks her if she ‘really’ wants to get revenge by smashing someone’s car, inferring that this will change who she is, and her relationship with others.
Enneagram: 8w7
Weevil is the school ‘tough guy,’ but it works, because everyone knows not to cross him. He is all about enforcing boundaries, controlling his gang, and punishing those who step out of line—he has Wallace strung up for getting two of his buddies arrested, but then when Veronica and Wallace get them off the hook, he concedes ground and comes to respect her. From then on, Weevil stands up for her, and shows up to threaten people and make noise whenever she needs a “favor.” He is tough, but also willing to ‘do the time’ for his grandma, when he thinks she stole some credit cards. He can “take it,” she can’t. Weevil threatens to strip search and ‘tear apart’ a place when some guys refuse to hand over the cash he won at a poker game. Elsewhere, he shows some 7 wing delusional thinking, with Lily Kane. He assumed they meant something to one another, when she was likely just using him for a quick fling with someone from “the wrong side of the tracks.”
