Mozzie MBTI & Enneagram | White Collar

INTP 6w5 Characters

Mozzie is very analytical and logical, and loves to solve puzzles and figure out how to game the system for his own advantage (or that of his friends). Neal often pulls him into thinking about things, and together, they try to figure out what is going on, the motives behind Neal’s girlfriend’s disappearance, who blew up an airplane, or what might be unfolding at the FBI. In all of his bluntness, Mozzie is also useful to Peter and his wife, such as when he scans their home for bugs and tells them to upgrade their security system (“I know a guy…”). He is also quite abstract, willing to go on logical tangents, interested in puzzle-solving, and good at coming up with hypothetical scenarios or even talking himself out of sticky situations by coming up with conversation or drama on the fly. He is an adept liar when it suits him, but also a bit socially awkward, and quite likable. Mozzie has an extreme wealth of knowledge about all kinds of things, including details about paintings, antiques, and the various people he runs into in the underworld. He knows who to call to get things done, and is careful what details he shares about himself that could be used against him at some future date. Mostly, his inferior Fe shows in how he tries to be charming but can’t achieve Neal’s level of effortlessness. Mozzie tells Neal that he doesn’t want Neal to meet the girl he likes, because by comparison Mozzie seems like a “sidekick.” He cares about and invests himself in various good causes, including writing letters to insist a politician build a local park (he believes the story the man tells about fighting the “good fight,” and comes up with a whole story to support it).

Enneagram: 6w5

Mozzie is a dedicated thinker, who likes to come up with everything that could go wrong and strategize against it. He is careful in preparing contingency plans, and when Neal gets too caught up in fantastical thinking, Mozzie will point out all the ways in which this could backfire and wind up hurting them, putting them in jail, etc. Yet, he is fiercely loyal to his best friend, and willing to go out on a limb for him, help him out, do research for him, or come up with lies to help him obscure the truth. Mozzie is more withdrawn than anything else; he falls in love with a girl at the diner, but instead of asking her out, stalks her and gathers information on her instead, then when she leaves him, becomes invested in a worst-case scenario about her being kidnapped by bad guys. This forces him to enter the FBI to give evidence, which freaks him out, because everyone has the credentials to arrest him, and he lives a life of avoidance of the authorities. He has a few pet conspiracy theories that he thinks about for fun, and takes his interests (art, for example) very seriously.
